Washington, DC: April 1, 2020: The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) today released a 100th podcast special episode underscoring the significance of its now weekly series, ACTEC Trust and Estate Talk, launched in 2018. ACTEC podcasts offer the expertise of Fellows who provide best practice advice, insights and commentary on subjects relevant to those in the wealth management profession.
To mark the milestone, ACTEC’s Communications Committee assembled highlights from three of its most favored podcasts for the 100th podcast special: Looking Back at Our Most Popular Podcasts, featuring ACTEC Fellows Todd Angkatavanich of Hartford, Connecticut, Professor Mary Radford of Atlanta, Georgia and Nancy Welber of Farmington Hills, Michigan. The special series includes a précis of Radford’s Trachtman lecture, presented at the 2019 ACTEC annual meeting: Balancing Independence and Vulnerability of Older Adults: What if Granny Wants to Gamble?; an update on the SECURE Act and its effect on estate planning since being signed into law; and a summation of key issues to consider in 2020 relevant to planning opportunities existing under the current state of the law with the potential to change later in the year.
“Since ACTEC’s first podcast posted in February 2018, we have strived to provide trust and estate attorneys and their clients with the most relevant information relating to key current issues,” said Susan Snyder, ACTEC Fellow and executive producer of ACTEC Trust and Estate Talk. “We are extremely pleased to offer this 100th podcast special spotlighting some of the most critical and engaging subject matter to date.”
Created for trust and estate management professionals and their clients, listeners can subscribe to ACTEC Trust and Estate Talk’s weekly podcasts at iTunes, Apple Podcasts, Stitcher and Google Play. Initiated as a project of ACTEC’s Communications Committee and funded by a grant from The ACTEC Foundation, ACTEC Trust and Estate Talk content is derived from educational presentations during ACTEC national meeting professional programs and committee meeting presentations.
