ACTEC Branding Guidelines and Communication Recommendations

Personal Digital Eminence

Personal Digital Eminence is the power of your electronic presence as a brand, your individual distinction on the web. This web page offers several suggestions to effectively communicate your distinction as an ACTEC Fellow and enhance your personal digital eminence.

Please contact marketing@actec.org for assistance.

ACTEC Network and your Professional Profile

Your profile is one of your most powerful networking tools. ACTEC Fellows are part of a public and private database. We recommend that you:

  • Review and update your profile yearly
    • Add a professional photograph, bio, and 3 practice areas

Directory Search — Find an ACTEC Lawyer

Both the public and private search are available from the Find a Fellow Search Page on the ACTEC website. This search feature enables web visitors to search and contact Fellows. You may Opt Out of the public search if desired, making your email address unavailable to the public. The public search enables individuals to only contact Fellows through an online form, which will email an inquiry to the Fellow.

Information from your profile that is available to the public are:

  • First and Last name
  • Work address
  • Public roster or work phone number
  • Practice areas
  • Headshot
  • Bio
  • Website

Remember, you must be logged out of the website to view your Public Profile.

Fellow Search

The Fellow Search is available through the same web address and will only display additional information if you are logged in to ACTEC’s website. This digital roster is your key to connecting with ACTEC Fellows across the globe. Once logged in, Fellows may search by Last Name, City, State, Zip Code, Practice Area, and Committee in the Primary Search. The Advanced Search offers additional fields including First Name, Firm/Organization, Phone Number, Spouse and Law School.

  • On the Fellow’s email footer originating from the firm.
  • In the Fellow’s print or online marketing presentations for limited distribution.
  • In Fellow’s marketing brochures for limited distribution.

The ACTEC Fellow logo shall only be used in the form and colors indicated, without modifications or alterations. The ACTEC Fellow logo is a trademarked and copyrighted creation belonging to The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.

Approved text

In an effort to standardize, we recommend using the following text for your email footer and print references:

Fellow, The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC)

Fellow Badge

We have created a Fellow Badge to help you distinguish yourself as an ACTEC Fellow. All use of the logo must be applied to your individual profile and not imply that a firm or organization is a member of ACTEC.

To make the Fellow Badge easier to use, we have designed a custom piece of web code for each Fellow. The code will link to your Public ACTEC Profile. Below is a sample to demonstrate how the Fellow Badge would look when embedded on a webpage. Try it out by clicking on the image below. It should open a new browser tab that links to your ACTEC Fellow Public Profile.
